This New Pure Resonance model is an innovative concept in Center-channel In Wall Speaker design. This system produces strong, sophisticated sound - perfect for any room or use. It also has the ability to produce a large soundstage that is full and clean. This speaker is tailor designed for center-channel applications, with full video shielding for placement close to a Television. Armed with a unique Dual 5-driver compliment enabling it to split the signal between each of the components and a 3 Mid-Range and Dual Tweeters. This allows for effective handling of high power input without distortion, maintaining accurate tonal definition. Each speaker features crossovers that blend the sound spectrum seamlessly with skillfully engineered 6, 12, 18 and 24db networks. Polymide auto protective reset switch for tweeters and midrange. All speakers are designed for excellent performance in any environment, with durable construction and aluminum grilles. Pre-Construction Bracket - The pre-construction brackets can be installed where the speakers will be mounted before the drywall goes up. The drywall contractor will cut the corresponding holes as the drywall is installed. This reduces the installation time and allows for pre-planned wiring. Rust-proof Aluminum Grilles - Our Aluminum Grilles provide durable protection while allowing maximum sonic pass-through for clear high-end definition. Cut-OutTemplate and Paint Mask - The Cut-out template allows the installer to accurately measure the hole to be cut in the dry-wall. The Paint mask provides protection for the woofer and tweeter while painting the speaker baffle.

The sound quality of this speaker is wonderful - crystal clear audio for center channel signals.Some reviewers complained about the difficulty of istallation but I thought it was straight foward. I spray painted the grill and frame to match my wall so the speaker looks as great as it sounds.

I'm a musician and have a trained ear, and once broken in this speaker sounds quite nice. The manual/instructions that come with the speaker are lacking, but my experience with other polypropylene speakers is that they have to "break-in". So these, just like my surrounds which are a different brand but I'm certain are from the same manufacturer, sound a bit tinty at first, but then improve over time. The manual with my surrounds had the following advice: "This process should last approximately 50 to 100 hours of music playback. This can be easily be done by putting your compact disc player on Repeat mode, while playing a CD with a wide dynamic range at average room volume listening levels." Nothing like this is mentioned in the CC555 instructions but I used this technique and the sound quality noticeably improved after the break-in period.
Packaging of the product was first rate. Installation was easy. My wife loves it that now all of the speakers are in-wall, and I'm happy that it sounds good.

I normally don't take the time to write a review but because of the lack of content on this particular product and even its manufacturer, i find it almost necessary to help people who might have considered this as a choice for their setup but don't want to risk buying a lemon. Well, it's not....in fact, it's a very good speaker at a very reasonable price. I had almost shelled out over [...] bucks for the polk in wall center channel for the simple reason that polk is a trusted name in speakers, but i couldn't justify spending that much on one speaker and i'm glad i came to that conclusion. I saved mucho dinero and i probably wouldn't have noticed much of a difference in sound quality between the two. This speaker performs well no matter what content you're playing. I've listened to music in a variety of genres, watched tv, movies, and PS3 games and it all sounds great. I'm no audiophile expert, but i think the average joe would be impressed. I matched it up w/ a pair of Pure Resonance Audio PRS-IW650HT Home Theater In Wall LCR Speakers which also sound great (expect a separate review on those soon) and Polk Audio's RC65i In-Wall Speakers as my rear surrounds. Quite an upgrade from the old sony htib (home theater in a box) speakers i had and my wife is thrilled she finally gets her mantle space back she lost a few years ago. I love my new home theater setup and it sounds fantastic thanks to amazon and pro acoustics who unbelievably shipped the same day i ordered.

This is a great front speaker if you need an in-wall speaker.
The quality of the sound is fantastic and you can clearly hear the dialogue or your show or movie. I used this speaker with the Polk Audio RC85i 2-Way In-Wall Speakers with a Denon Sub-Woofer and I have sound that seems a good as a theater.
The speaker is big, but it still fit between the studs with room to spare. Installation was simple but a little cumbersome. Unlike the polk speaker you can't just pull off the grill and turn the screws to lock it all in place. This one you have to take the mounting frame off the speaker and put that in the wall, then you can put the speaker up. The wire connections are top of the line, but they are a little difficult to get the wires into them when you are holding up the speaker with one hand and trying to thread the wires and push the holding pins with the other.
