Great Quality, Sound Great As Well February 18, 2009

First off, let me state, I'm not an audiophile. I wanted a name I could trust.

I bought these speakers to go into a house under construction. Perhaps I missed it somewhere, but these speakers require 2 sets of speaker wire to them (Left and Right channels; + and -), so I had to throw in more wire than I initially thought.

Over all, the speakers sound great. They are all to be used for music, not surround sound--though they can be used for that.

Installation was easy. The speakers come with a template that allows you to cut the correct size hole. The grill comes off easily enough (to get to the screws that secure the speaker to the ceiling). Make sure you've left enough slack in your wire for hook-ups. Your speaker wires slip in and are locked down in place.

Four 'ears' or 'dogs' hold the speaker against the ceiling. They rotate out and lower down as you turn the screws to firmly set the speaker in place.

The grill and housing are paintable allowing the new speakers to almost disappear into the ceiling.

A strong 4-stars here, only because of the price (the price is generally for one speaker--not a set), which may be a bit pricey for some, but the quality is there.
