Good while it last July 15, 2010 Ty i brought this system and it worked great the sound quality was good the sub woofer had a lot of thump for such a small sub woofer but a about a month after usage the speaker started to short circuit then the sub woofer was started to lose its thump if you want something to last for a while i wouldnt suggest this product
It broke March 5, 2010 Chris As a cheap upgrade, I bought these speakers for my laptop. On a positive note, they looked nice and had decent sound quality considering the cost. For $20, they seemed like a fine investment and I was a happy camper for several months. That is, until they broke. The blue light was the first to break, which wasn't a big deal. But shortly after, the entire unit was dead silent and completely useless no matter how loud I cranked the volume.
Sound System Review January 30, 2010 S. Dash (M.A. , U.S.A.) The product itself is very satisfying. The sound quality is great. The speakers are small and cute, but powerful. If I don't switch it off at night, the blue light gets really annoying, but other than that everything's great !!
It's just that I bought this when Free shipping was offered and for some reason was still made to pay for shipping :(
BIG sound - SMALL price - Great as laptop subwoofer system January 9, 2010 Charles Johnston (Ocala, Florida) My new laptop has built-in "speakers" that are pretty good for what they are and considering that they take up no extra space. I travel year-round and stay in hotels so I needed better sound that would not cause complaints from the other guests yet deliver enhanced audio and pack easily too. This subwoofer system is ideal for my needs. Over the years I have purchased several Cyber Acoustic speaker systems (from large to small) and they have always been a truly great value. I gave 4 stars on features (and not 5) merely because I would have liked the convenience of a headphone jack on the speakers. No biggie. If you need a compact subwoofer system for a smaller space this one will fill the bill. I also give Amazon 5 stars for impeccable service the past 10+ years.
Outstanding sound... if you don't have an iPhone December 27, 2009 trevo2020 (Sunnyvale, CA) This has to be the best speakers I've used in my life aside from one issue that it picks up the bleeps from my iPhone too easily! CA, *FIX THIS* and you'll have my undying loyalty forever.
I'm giving this unit 5 stars for the sound quality. You see after replacing this unit with a similar but more expensive 3 piece unit from Logitech, I can say with confidence that this sounds FAR superior. The subwoofer really produces deep rich thumping sound, compared to a muddy sound produced by the Logitech. When I watch movies on Hulu, it almost feels like I'm watching it on a much higher priced home theatre speakers (mostly because of the outstanding bass). I'm floored how they achieved this in such a small package.
But alas I had to abandon this unit because of my allegiance to the iPhone (unfortunately). The iPhone produces more interference than ANY phone I've had and its interaction with the speakers drove me stark crazy.
So if CA came out a shielded version, and even if they added 10 bucks to it... I'll buy it in a heartbeat!
